I AM straight, well, bi-curious. It is weird sometimes when people assume I'm straight, when it's possible I'm lesbian.

Considering the average person is straight, so most people would assume I am, it really doesn't bother me at all. It only bothers me when they don't believe I am gay and say they could turn me straight. If 50% of the worlds human population was lgbt then I might be a tiny bit angered by that, but sense it is less then 10%, it really doesn't bother me at all.

It happens all the time and I've gotten used to such attitude (well, it's only 'assuming', after all).

It depends. I moreso care how they react when I say I'm dating a girl.

It doesn't bother me in daily life that just because I look like a female people assume I like men. It bothers me to get hit on by men, but my biggest complaint is people assuming that being sexually female means I think of myself a female, and like people to call me "Beautiful" or "a girl"

As far as I know I'm heteroromantic, but if I wasn't or if I turn out to be something else, then I guess it's possible it could bother me.

Something that does bother me a little though is when people assume that I am looking for a boyfriend, or want to get married, or am in a hurry to lose my virginity. Not the same thing of course, but could be based off of similar ideologies.

I am straight but if I weren't, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't get annoyed. Heterosexuals are still the majority so it's normal people would assume what's leaning towards normative.

I realize that, when making this question, I forgot the fact that I've been suspected of being a lesbian from a very young age and have very rarely experienced being assumed straight.

I understand why people would make that assumption, given how it's more common, it's still a bit irksome though.

I actually feel awkward, tbh. Being ace/asexual it actually feels rather uncomfortable.
