Arya is the new rider because she already has a lot of knowledge with magic so it will take less time for Eragon to teach her the ways of the riders. They get Murtagh and Thorn to change their true names and they help them destroy Galbatorix. Eragon and Arya then Depart Alagaesia with Murtagh and Thorn and most importantly Roran and Katrina. They journey to the land where the humans originally came from. This is the end of the fourth book. The fifth book comes after but I do not know what happens after that
