The story: Cuddy finds out she's pregnant. As unespected as it is, this brings tension in her relationship with House. Eventually, they accept that they're going to have that baby and maybe find some peance of mind.
But then something goes wrong: Cuddy's ill fated life is at risk due to an incurable illness. The only solution would be to terminate the pregnancy and put her on chemo, but she won't give up her child. House desperately try to convince her in his dysfunctional, even rude way.
Finally, he accepts that she wants their child to be born. Eventually, she has an emergency c-section and dies right after.
A heart-broken, grief-stricken House is finally awakened by his baby daughter's cry and life gets a whole new meaning.
