Death of House's father

Hi people

I want to ask you something about the 5th season of House MD

In that season,House's father had died,but I think that someone else told him that his father died before the funeral episode.
I'm not sure and I can't remember who was that.
Does anyone know?

No,I remember that someone got angry with House and told him that his father died,but I'm not sure who and maybe I'm wrong
