Can anyone tell me why are these "Based On A True" story movies prove to be inaccurate and that the real event which the movie is based on is not much of anything I.E: The Strangers, Qurantine, etc...
Well BASED on a true story means they just took the general premise of a real life news story and twisted it to make it "cool" for Hollywood. They are almost always never factual.

I kinda thought that also thats true i agree w/you all the way im into some horror but Hollywood i feel profits too much off ppls tradgedies. The Poughkipsie tapes now comes to mind wonder if itll ever come out. i knew about Jay Hernandez in Quarentine
Somtimes they twist scense to that way no won willl be 2 scared... But someof it is cinda inapropeat!!!! Like Jack Ketchum's the girl next door! They blocked out the rapeing seen in the movie on chiller!

Thanks I thought that may also be. then a twisted movie like The Last House On The Left (2009) if that is a true based movie or fictionalized?
Basically theirs a point we're the story stops and the Writer and Directors imagination begins the writers like to Jazz it up Tobe Hooper's Texas chain saw massacre is a perfect example
