Horror Movies Question

Have family or friends ever been "concerned" about your interest in horror movies, books, etc.?

When I was around 13, the local ABC network always showed cheesy horror/mutant monster type movies on Friday nights. Out of nowhere, my mom decided I was getting too "weird" (she may have been on to something) and used Lent as an excuse for me to not watch those movies. W/Ash Wednesday next week, this memory came roaring back!

Yes. But they were more concerned with my interest in factual killers for some reason. Apparently hanging book covers of my biographies of murderers on the wall like posters doesn't fit their definition of normal.

LOL!!! I get you! Every time I bring home another book about another serial killer (factual or otherwise) my sanity (morality?) is questioned.

Killers are fascinating people! I'd rather learn about them than anyone else anyday!

I thoroughly enjoy the books about psychological profiling of serial killers. One of my long-time friends has a library dedicated to serial killer info. Much more interesting than "normal" people.

Yes, and it's very annoying.
The only person that I know who likes Horror movies/books/etc as I do is my dad. The other people that I know already begun questioning my sanity (or whatever) only because I love every single serial killer I read about/watch a movie about.
Like...If they have a problem with my interests, they can go to rot in hell with their "NORMAL" literature and TV. I like Horror, I love reading about Psychology and my fav person on this world is Freddy Krueger. Any problems?
Not MY business.

Know the feeling. On the reading site, I keep recommending a new author,Dan Wells, who so far has written 2 books (and I hope he continues w/them as a series) about a young man w/sociopathic tendencies who fights supernatural serial killers. In case you haven't already heard of him!

I'm a 16 year old girl and I like Michael Myres. I mean like-like, I watched Halloween four times in one day. My dad bought me a white paper mache mask and I painted it. It's colorful but still a bit weird. My mum said I was very strange and that my friends were going to leave me because I loved taking photos of the mask and talk about death, gore, ect.. My frinds haven't left me yet and sometimes they come home with a scary movie to watch, without me having to tell them. I don't force anyone to watch them with me. They just do.

I listen to Rob Zombie, Wednesday 13 and Murderdolls but I'm not a complete psycho or anything. Although I like blood and gore I'm pretty normal. I'm afraid of the darkness and at night I have to turn all the lights on to go to the toilet or get a glass of water. I have a good imagination and that can sometimes creep me out.
