Early in Dead Snow a couple gets it on in an outhouse. Wow, what ambiance. Yes it's cold outside, but still I imagine the smell to be rather foul.

Jack Ketchum's: The Girl Next Door.

I have a strong stomach for horror movies and don't usually mind blood, gore, and violence, but THIS FILM is a whole different story. I think anyone who watches this and isn't traumatized for the rest of there lives after seeing it shows signs of serial killer tendencies. The blowtorch scene alone, has been burned into my brain for the rest of my life.

The fact that it was based on a TRUE STORY makes it a trillion times more horrifying.

Based on your description, I decided to watch this movie. Easily one of the most disturbing things I've seen in a while. That Ruth character was something else.

Yeah, this film was bordering on one of those things that I wish I never saw. On another forum I belonged to someone was talking about how disturbing this was and my curiosity totally ignored the warnings. The fact that Ruth's character kept that calm and cold demeanor while doing those HORRIBLE things, is what makes its so disturbing. Since this was an account of a true story, that woman now has earned her spot next Hitler, Idi Amin, ect., IN HELL for the things she did.

I am now compelled to check out the book--I'm wondering what happened to Ruth's sons, and the other neighborhood kids involved.
