What's your favorite horror movie? but it MUST be scary

Halloween(1978)Silence of the Lambs, My Bloody Valentine(1980) Nightmare on Elm St., Friday the 13th (1980), The Exorcist, Halloween 2 ( 1981), Psycho (1960). I think I have all the years right. Anyway the originals of the remade ones. I think substituting gore in the place of fear is pointless. Im eager to see how the New Nightmare turns out. It will be Hard to replace Robert Englund.
