Let's clear this up, is or is nicht, the HRE, Germany?

I really don't know. I don't support the theory nor am I against it. (And I hardly know anything about history. Sue me. xD) But there are legit arguments that are against it and for it. So... I don't know, really. You don't have to support the theory that HRE = Germany.

While you don't have to support the idea, and I'm not entirely sure if historically the HRE became Germany, part of the empire was were Germany is today, and when Prussia was still a country it did influence Germany some I believe, I personally support HRE and Germany being the same person

I, personally, think that HRE isn't Germany. Because France killed HRE (In a sense). And I'm pretty sure countries can't come back from the dead. And Germany had his own childhood. I also think that HRE and Germany are twins. Just a theory~ :)

Germany was HRE. It's a lengthy explanation so I'll tell you next time.

I personally believe that HRE is Germany for so many reasons It would take forever for me to write all of them.

Also, I don't think his eyes are darker, I just think that Germany's eyes are drawn more piercing. When Holy Roman Empire's pupil is shown smaller, the shadowing and high-lighting on it disappears, and you see a much more similar eye color.

Historically the Holy Roman Empire's full name was the Holy Roman Empire of the Germanic Republic, and Germany was the core of the HRE. However there were many other countries part of the HRE that Germany appears to have no connections with (Monaco, Netherlands, and Liechtenstein, for example). Also, depending on your colour perception, Germany's eyes are lighter and less bright than HRE's. You could argue that a child's eyes grow fainter as they grow, though. Also, HRE seems to have never mentioned his brother, nor has it been shown that he had any siblings.
Overall it's a debatable topic, but I do not believe that HRE is Germany.
