Hetalia Question

How do you pronounce the word "Hetalia?"

Just thought I'd ask this out of curiosity. =w=
I pronounce the "h" in Hetalia really subtly, it sounds kinda like I'm saying et-AHL-ee-uh.

He- tah-lee-ah is how I've always thought it was pronounced, when going by Japanese syllables.
I've pronounced it without too much emphasis on syllables, but I do stress the 'tah' more than anything. ;u; That's more out of bad habit, though...
'he' as in 'head',
'ta' as in (I don't know many words that pronounce 'ta' like the Japanese do; if you know how to say 'tamago' with proper Japanese enunciation, that's the only way I can really think of saying it. 'Ta' as in just going 'ah'.

'Li' as in the word 'leap',
'A' is again like just going 'ah' without putting too much stress on making a long 'a' sound (not like how people pronounce 'apple'.)

Hope this helps!

I most pronounce it with how you would say Italia but, with an "H" sound. I simply replace the "E" sound with an "H"

It's your choice whether to pronounce the H or not. Anyway, the "et" as in "pET" the "al" as in "pAL" the "I" as in "eeeee" the "a" as in ....well, "a". :

Sometimes I'll pronounce it "Talia" without the "He". Sometimes I'll pronounce it like Japan "Hetaria" as a joke. And sometimes I'll pronounce it Hetalliay~ (like in "day"), I don't know why it just sounds fancier and more to say X3 (But I do that with a lot of words that end with A)
But for the most part I just pronounce it how it's spelled. Het-al-ee-ah ~

I think it'll sound more rough/weird if you hear me say it. I pronounce words with my dialectal accent.

American/English: HetaLEa

Japanese: HetaREa

It changes from Japnese to English because the Japanese launage does NOT include L. Instead, it's a mix between a L and R. Hope this helps ^^
