Hetalia Question

When and why did you start watching Hetalia?

I first started watching it about a year ago. As for how I got to it... well, I guess you could say it was because of FF. You see, I was looking through a fanfiction writer's list of stories. And then, the words 'The Axis Powers' and 'WWII' caught my attention. Since I was already a history geek, I decided to see what this anime was that was about world history. What expected was some MA rated, bloody, action anime that was all about war... Instead, I got myself a bunch of adorable, stereotypical personifications and history portrayed in funny, sweet and sometimes inaccurate ways.

YAY FOR HETALIA!!
When and why did you start watching Hetalia?

I started watching Hetalia a year ago after seeing it (I noticed it at the tail end of 2010 and kept on noticing it through 2011 time after time) on anime forums from other sites. At first I literally thought it had something to do with foot/soccer ball since everyone kept talking about countries. Later at the start of 2012 (about the time after Paint It White came out) I randomly decided to watch it so, I looked it up. I was HORRIBLY confused at what I was watching and basically "Dafuq is this?!" I was also surprised that the episodes were only 5 minutes and to find out that it wasn't about foot/soccer ball like I thought but, History which, kept me watching since I LOVE History very much. I'm very happy that I stuck with Hetalia. It's such an amazing anime and I love it so so much.

I'll always love Hetalia~ <3

After finishing FMA, which had been an anime that kept me going in my age of depression, I wasn't sure what to watch next. I wonder from anime to anime and nothing really caught my interest much. Then I saw Hetalia. I was against it at first. I had thought it was some stupid war anime or something. But my friends told me it was funny and cute and that they weren't military personnels they were countries.
So I tried it later in the summer heistantly and guess what?... I didn't like the first episode I saw. It was one of the extra and I didn't got it. But I troed another and it was hilarious and I fell in love.
Thus ends my Love Story

In the comment, everybody was talking about his voice because he has the same voice actor than Germany and and were like: " OMG DOITSU!!! HETALIA!!! HSBFHDSFHVBDXHGHD!!!" so I decided to start watching this anime and I liked it!!!

I started watching Hetalia about 3 or 4 months ago on Netflix. My friend and I where texting back and forth at around midnight ( we where waiting up to watch Soul Eater on the TV ) and I was looking through Netflix stuff on my iPod. I was looking at the Anime Comedies section and I saw Hetalia, read over the short description and watched it until the time Soul Eater came on. After the episode ended, I asked my friend about Hetalia and he said that he thought the show was a good show to watch to pass the time. I've just finished Hetalia: World Series on Netflix and I can't wait until the next season comes out!
