Do you think people over use the Uke and Seme thing?

I absolutely hate Uke and Seme references, regardless of whether it's Hetalia or not. Why does one person apparently have to be the "head" of the couple, while the other is supposedly helpless? Love is love, and people shouldn't label the couple as one person being an "Uke," and the other a "Seme."

I honestly don't like it much either. I find it ridiculous how some fans just focus more on whose topping and bottoming rather than the deep relationship the characters share. There's so much more to pairings than seme and uke. Like for instance their bond, their chemistry, and the feelings they share towards each other. Some fans never seem to look at it that way. It seems all some fans care about is whose the dominating seme and whose the helpless uke.

I personally think idiots will be idiots and will use whatever terms.I don't personally use them,but what can you do?

I don't think a person's personality really decides what sexual postion they will take.And besides,you can still be dominate and be on the bottom!I just have never used the terms,so it doesn't bother me if other people do.

But I do see your point and how it could annoy certain people.My advice stands,however:Let idiots be idiots.Use or don't use the terms however you want.

And besides,in real relationships,I'm sure they switch.Thats how I have my pairings do it (no pun intended).

Whether it is Hetalia or not I find it disturbing how that is all someone could care about when they want two people to be together.

Seriously, the seme/uke thing just ruin the hetalia shippings for me, specially the popular one because they have such a problem with topping/bottoming that it turns out that the same pairing becomes a whole new pairing when the uke is on top. I find that disgusting since the "uke" really is just like the "girl" in the relationship.

In the beginning, i actually liked GerIta while reading the manga, i think its pretty sweet and just fitted my shipping "taste", but k just hate how the make Feliciano some girly godamned bishie, ugh. Also SpaMano REALLY have this problem, and also UsUk, i would like to say RoChu too but its not as much as Sufin/ Spamano/ Gerita and UsUk.

At least they should variate, isnt themeaning of yaoi that both are male? Shouldnt they switch sometimes?
