I hate almost all Japan pairings. He just doesn't really suit anyone in the series well. He's true to his country; different and distant from everyone else. That's his culture, his nature, his way of life. It's hard for him to be close to people because the culture differences. No one is quite like Japan. I love him a lot, and his unique qualities are what make him such an interesting, funny, and well rounded character, especially since he has many other aspects that contribute to his diversity. These differences are why I don't support many Japan pairings. I usually ship him with my fan character, Antarctica, because I realized that her personality resembles Japan's. She's quiet, calm, but still sharp when necessary. She's afraid of hot days, and they cause a similar reaction to Japan's when he sees cockroaches.
Oh, shoot, I started rambling. Anyways, the point is, if I had to ship one Japan pairing, aside from AntarctiPan, I would definitely ship him and Greece. They're the only ones that I could see even mildly working out.
