It is an average day at Camp Olympus. Suddenly, all of the campers are pulled up into the sky, out of their current position. A voice, feminine, but deep, booms in the sky, cloudy and compact, "Campers, prove your worth!". As fast as the previous pulling was, the campers are now pulled to Camp Olympus. The pull was like an invisible rope or a delayed magnet pull- smooth, but harsh. Finally, the campers opened their eyes and blinked; they could finally see now- godly presence can cause temporary blindness.
Before them, a giant tub of instant mac & cheese mix sits. Dazed and confused, the campers rub their eyes once more to make sure they are not dreaming. The massive cylinder is about as tall as your room door and as wide as a kiddy pool; it's sight can make a grown man fall, knees buckling and all. The godly presence is felt again, and the boisterous noise is heard. "Campers! We have issued a challenge- for only the mightiest of heroes! Make us dinner! Finish this Mac-and-Cheese by sundown, or suffer our wrath!" The Olympians then leave, their ginormous, translucent figures disappearing after a flash of lightning from the cloudy sky.
Silently making a pact to finish rather than suffer wrath, the campers silently glance at each other, making occasional faces.
"Well, you heard them!," says Jasmine, looking around. "Get to work people!" The campers scurry around, getting ready to prepare the macaroni. Cleo immediately shoots vines from her wrists, like Spider-Man, anchoring the paper bowl nicely. She summons vines, grabs the cheese packet (avoiding the white dust that is apparently necessary for cooking) and carries the packet out.
Jasmine and Alvin summon tons of boiling water and splash it into the bowl with great accuracy and precision, while Kris leads the Hephaestus kids in heating the macaroni to the proper temperature, using EPIC fire skills . Shadow leads the children of Hades into summoning armies of the undead, (which will be used for stirring, of course.) Once the noodles have reached the proper temperature in the water (Jasmine can determine water temperature in a jiffy), Cleo summons vines once more and dumps the powdered cheese concoction (who knows what the factory puts in there...) into the steaming water.
Everyone backs away as the army of restless dead shakes up the mixture. The dead aren't like the stereotypical zombie, slobbering spit and groaning hopeless echoes everywhere, they are just... deprieved. Depreieved, of hope, happiness, and mainly life and energeticness. On that wonderfully happy note, back to the dinner. Once the whirpooling combination of noodles, water, and powder have been thoroughly mixed, the dead back away from the overly decorated commercial paper packaging. The so-called "dinner" is now spinning counter-clockwise, looking like a steaming tornado of Mac and Cheese.
Once the dead shake the bowl again, water splashes and covers the whole meal, making the supper look like contaminated river rapids. The miniscule noodles settle after a final shake, and all the campers back away to look upon what their lives depend on.
"Who would've thought-" Cleo said, then paused. "My life depends on a package or grocery Mac n' Cheese.". She sighed, then kicked at the ground with her feet, lowering her head.
