Kind of mixed - he had his redeeming attributes, but I don't think he's the saint some fans make him out to be. After all, he did choose to be a Death Eater. And he'd never have changed sides if it'd been a stranger who'd been killed instead of Lily.

Did he have a rough life? Yes. He still made some horrible choices, and a rough life doesn't excuse that.

Mixed on this one. I think that he made some really awful life choices but I don't think that he was evil or the worst person. Like he wasn't good but he wasn't bad.
