Did you ever think that Wizarding lessons have something in common with Muggle lessons?
Well I made a list of classes that we take and classes that are taken in Harry Potter books:

Chemistry=Potions
Maths=Arthimancy
English=charms(no offense)
Biology=Care of magical creatures
History=History of magic
Technology=Muggle studies
French(second language)= Ancient Runes

Sorry but I only could find the certain studies if you found something in common please comment;)
