Harry Potter I think i found a mistake in book 7...

Well i was reading once again the deathly hallows and i realized that Hermione said in one chapter that she modified her parents memories and when then time came to do the same with the death eaters in the cafeteria shes said that she's never done it again but she knew the theory.

What do you think?Has anyone else spotted that mistake?

She modified their memories, she didnt obliviate them. Its in the movies that she obliviates them

There's a difference between 'modifying' and 'oblivitating.' Hermione didn't completely erase her parents' memories, she changed them. They needed/wanted to completely erase the Death Eaters memories (like what Lockhart wanted to do to Harry and Ron in CoS), which Hermione has never done.
