Harry Potter Unforgivable Curses [general discussion, no spoilers]

So what's the deal? I have not finished the book yet (I'm trying to read as slowly as I can), and the three unforgivable curses have been used by the 'good guys'. I guess it's time to fight fire with fire, eh?!

I was suprised by the use of curses also...Throughout the book i though that harry should have been practicing the killing curse b/c he failed at doing one of the curses on Bella in book five...not on humans but on like ants and stuff

Yeah I was very surprised when Harry and McGonagall used Unforgivable Curses. I always thought Harry couldn't use them and that the Order preferred Stunners etc.

Re: duckgoddess
Oh Harry could use it, he just had to REALLY mean it.

Sorry, that's what I meant, I guess I didn't explain myself properly. Like in the Ministry in OotP, he tried to use 'Crucio' on Bellatrix but it didn't work very well because he didn't really mean it
