I don't really understand how the books are NOTHING like the movies. Could someone help me understand why?

It's actually the same as the books dear but they just made the story shorter and took out the most important details in the story. Some of the descriptions are altered because of the reason that it would look good on the screen. If they made the movie based entirely on the book, i think it would take more than 2 hours to make it. :D
