No, I believe not. The Elder Wand is, I think, irrelevant for this matter, because it wasn't even once mentioned in the fifth book, none of us knew anything about it, and so didn't J.K., I believe. The Elder Wand is a powerful wand, but as we all know, Harry and Voldemort never had a duel. At least not a real one...
Harry had a truly powerful weapon, and, as Dumbledore said so, it is love. I hardly believe J.K. would make a mistake in the last book, that she wouldn't explain it right. She knew what she was writing, and if she said it is love, then I believe it is love...Because Voldemort wasn't able to love, he had no mercy, and so Harry knew what he would become, and that's why he tried to convince Voldemort to feel pity and regret for what he had done; Harry knew Voldemort wouldn't come back if he died without any Horcruxes bonding him to this life. That was Harry's true weapon, the one that cursed Voldemort to a weak, non - existent creature we had the opportunity to see in DH, that creature under the chair that Harry felt so sorry for in the beginning...It is all love!!!

Oh man...the prophecy clearly said that "he knows the power dark lord knows not" and voldemort , after possessing harry in OOTP, then knew that harry has power of love and after that he fears to possess harry due to this reason. What he did not know was who is the true owner of elder wand. Only harry knew who is the true owner of elder wand. This was dumbledore's "idea" that that secret was love and we know that sometimes even he made mistakes.

I think all of you who have answered this question are wrong.
before answering the question i would like you to read the following,
Harry: You cant torture them, you cant touch them, you dont learn from your mistakes Riddle
Voldy: You Dare?
H: Yes i dare because i know things that you do not, Tom Riddle.Want to hear some of them before you make another big mistake?
V: Is t love again? Dumbuldores Favourite solution love.................................no one seems to love enough potter then what will stop youdying you now when i strike
H: Just one thing
V: If it is not love that will save you potter Then you must believe that you have magic that i do not,or else a weapon more powerful than mine
H: i believe both
.................................................
.................................................
.................................................
.................................................
V: dumbuldore was trying to keep the elder wand from me................And the DEATHSTICK, THE ELDER WAND, THE WAND OF DESTINY,is truly mine!
Dumbuldores last plan went wrong, Harry Potter!
H: Yeah it did , You are right..........Be a man try....try for some remorse ........
V: You Dare-?
H: Yes i dare, Bcoz dumbuldores last plan is not Backfired on me, its backfired on you riddle....
................................Severus snape was not true master of elder wand. He never defeated Dumbuoldore.
V: He killed-
H: Arent you listening? Snape never beat Dumbuldore ................................
The true master of wand was Draco Malfoy.
V: ........................................After i have killed you i can attend Draco Malfoy
H: But you are too late, You missed your chance.I got there first. I overpowered Draco weeks ago. I took this wand from him.................... I am the true master of elder wand

Now note these points
When voldy asked harry that is it love again?, Harry said no
Harry said i know things that you donot and then explained that how harry himself is the master of Elder Wand
Soooooooooooooo!!!!!!! My dear ones it was obviously the elder wand....

I think you're soooooooo wrong! Seriously, Dumbledore didn't even know in the 5th part he was going to die. So there was no big plan to give Harry the Elder wand. And if you remember, Dumbledore didn't even want Harry to have the Elder wand. He wanted Snape to be the real master....It's just a matter of fact that Harry was the real Master of Death, it wasn'teven mentioned in the 5th part that there is such a powerful wand! The prophecy never mantioned some wand, nor did J.K.

J.K. wrote love, and that's the solution. You're looking for stuff that doesn't exist...

No I dont think it was. He didnt keep the elder wand, so it couldnt be the power, plus Voldemort is the one that really used the wand, Harry only repaird his Pheonix wand.

Power???????? I thought we were talking about secret, not power.

I don't think so because love is the power Harry had that Voldemort didn't. Harry wouldn't have won without Ron and Hermione to help him find and destroy the Horcruxes. Harry had something worth fighting for. Not only his life but his friend's lives too. It takes real courage and love to face death like when he is prepared to die for everyone at Hogwarts and in the whole world when he goes into the forest.

i think that the profecy talks bout the power that harry has the certain time that voldemort marked him... remember?`The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches. born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies . and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not . and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives . the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies .'
and, besides, as dumbledore said (i know he's not infallible but everyone would understand this if they'd thought bout wat the 5th book sais!) the profecy doesn't matter! it mattered only coz of voldemort who did excactly wat trelawny said! so the profecy could change, depending on our knowledge... at first we knew bout love, now bout elder wand, then we'll think bout sth else to add into the foreseen things! so if the profecy is eventually important, i believe wat i said above, that it was bout the power harry had the time that voldemort aimed him...
that's wat i think!:))

Why can it not mean both? If Harry didn't have love, he would've never made it through all of those years, and if he didn't have the Elder Wand's ownership, he wouldn't have been able to kill Voldemort! It was both! Plus, his bravery, courage, and intelligence!

When the prophecy states that "He'll have power the Dark Lork knows not" it doesn't have to mean just ONE thing, the word "power" could be a combination of things! For example, if some person that wasn't as strong and brave as Harry (and as loving), then he probably wouldn't have the strength to finish off Voldemort, because he would be unable to face him. They also wouldn't be able to sacrifice themselves for the people they love (even though Harry didn't die, the meaning was still there).

I believe that the prophecy reffered to Harry's ability, love, and the Elder Wand! That gives him "power the Dark Lord knows not", because Voldemort thought Harry was "weak", that love wasn't important, and that HE was the master of the Elder Wand!
