i wasnt howwified just really pissed off because i already knew they would be together because look at the sixth book people? but i was still pised because wen i read the sixth book i was like praying for Joanne to change her mind about harry and ginny
I was like " Nooooooooo!!! No way!! why why why it's unbelievable!!!!" and I was like "the author is just ..." I was so eeuuur it's just an easy way to choose a wife for Harry and I just hate that the final of the sseventh book is just desapointing.
I was so dissapointed. I still had this small hope that they would get together in the book, but BAM! JK shot that down.
I guess I got my hopes up cause of all the Harmony scenes in the movies... damn false hope!
But really, harry and hermoine are PERFECT for one another.
As much as I love the Weasleys, Harry and Hermoine could do SO much better... aka with one another.
I almost screamed noooooooo. I did'nt actually read the sixth book. I don't really read the books. I always wait 4 the movie. But when my dad bougth the seventh book, I could'nt control myself from reading the last chapter and I wish I had'nt. I was soooo disappoined. Harry/Hermione are sooo much better together compared to Harry/Ginny. They even look cuter together. What was JK Rowling thinking whem she paired Harry and Ginny together.
Harry and Hermione are pretty cute... but there was Ron in the way of them, and you know how much Harry thought about Ginny while they were 'away' in the Deathly Hallows (if you have read it... that is). JK always knew all the character's fates and as Harry says in the 7th book : "I love her like a sister. And I reckon she feels the same way about me. It's always been like that. I thought you knew." (It was to Ron)...
But I wouldn't have minded Harmony.
I agree with fawkes716 & lurve_edward. Ron & Hermione are perfect for each other. And Harry is madly in love with Ginny (you're gonna think the same if you've read the 7th book) So is Ginny!
HARRYANDHERMIONE. <33
Ginny is such a bitch. she should have died.
the epilogue made my eyes burn. HARRY/GINNY?
I could deal w/Ron and Hermione , but Harry can do better than that ginger minger :L
i just can't tolerate ginny...........she's so wrong in so many levels......i don't like the idea of ron and hermione but still ron is very adorable in many ways..but ginny oh please.......god!
well to be honest, i knew from the half - blood prince that harry would end up with ginny. but i was horrified coz i could not understand how jk can go wrong ( just my opinion ) coz i think harrinny sucks!
An objective reading of the books along with logic and common sense would have told you that Harry certainly wasn't going to be paired up with Hermione.
Horrified is not a strong enough word. Everything about the books screamed Harry and Hermione, but for some reason we end up with this ridiculousness!! I get that there were obvious hints about certain pairings (R/Hr), but that in no way means that's what should have happened. I love JK, but I can't get behind her decision.
in my opinion , i wasn't satisfied wih j.k.'s pairing of r/hr and h/g ..... i'm addicted to harry potter but the last chapter in book 7 really dissapointed me .... wish it was just harry - hermione , ron - luna , neville - ginny .........
I actually liked her shippings.
Harry/Ginny was meant to be! And it's HER series, she must've always known somewhere and sometime it'd happen, if she wrote it or not.
Well, of course I was horrified, but not necessarily because I'd rather wanted him with Hermione. No, I was more horrified that after the Cho debacle Harry once again went for some hot chick (i.e. a relation based on looks instead of based on inner beauty) who was made so annoyingly perfect (even a Slytherin thought this 'blood traitor' was hot? COME ON!) after being near invisible in the previous books (apart from Chamber of Secrets). A silly fan girl who only thought he's interesting because of his fame (fame he always disliked) but barely took some time to get to know the REAL Harry. The remark that she knew Harry would never be HAPPY (seriously, HAPPY???!!!) if he wasn't hunting Voldemort shows how incredibly stupid and unknowing she is. Honestly, I'd rather have seen Ginevra die instead of Fred.
'Well, of course I was horrified, but not necessarily because I'd rather wanted him with Hermione.'
So you're horrified that Harry went for the only one for him and who he loves? Wow. Just wow.
'No, I was more horrified that after the Cho debacle Harry once again went for some hot chick (i.e. a relation based on looks instead of based on inner beauty)'
No, it wasn't a relation only based on looks, even if he did find her beautiful...
'who was made so annoyingly perfect (even a Slytherin thought this 'blood traitor' was hot? COME ON!)'
Yes, she is perfect. In Harry's eyes. And the Slytherin just thought she was hot. Not wanting to date her. He doesn't know the real Ginny. Harry does. Do you see the difference or would you just go back and read the books?
'after being near invisible in the previous books (apart from Chamber of Secrets).'
Yes, Harry noticing her in random moments, even in POA and GOF, should mean that she is invisible. I mean, even we do see her much more in OOTP, she is still 'near invisible', right?
Go back and read the books.
'A silly fan girl who only thought he's interesting because of his fame (fame he always disliked) but barely took some time to get to know the REAL Harry.'
Ginny never was a fangirl..............!
Let's break it down simpler. Harry likes Ginny. Harry dislikes fame. Therefore, Ginny is not a fangirl. That was easy!
And yes, Ginny did know the real Harry. Since book 2 in fact.
'The remark that she knew Harry would never be HAPPY (seriously, HAPPY???!!!) if he wasn't hunting Voldemort shows how incredibly stupid and unknowing she is.'
Do you honestly think she means 'happy' in the normal sense? Do you think she thinks Harry's really glad to fight Voldemort? It's in a different context. So get back and read the bloody scene.
'Honestly, I'd rather have seen Ginevra die instead of Fred.'
Which is extremely selfish of you seeing that Harry loves no one else but Ginny. I didn't want Fred to die either, but to say that Ginny should have died, is frankly hypocritical, seeing that you want to force him together with someone he considers a sister.
I respect other opinions, but to me Hermione and Harry are perfect for each other, and Luna would have been fine, but I don't support Harry with Ginny.
-xo.
