I love guinea pigs so much. Their the best pets even over dogs or cats!

Guinea pigs are nice pets because they are nice, even tempered, will almost never bite, they like snuggling, easy to feed, bathe, and take care of.

I had two. I had one famale named "Sunshine" about 6 years ago. She was white with the color of cream coffe on the sides of her face. But then I had to give her away and the person didn't take good care of her and let her freeze out side in her cage on the porch. :'(
I cried alot for months. Then like in August 2008 I got another Female named "Mee-wee" and she was all white except for the tip of her ear was brown. I kept her intill like June 2009 and I had to give her away to an adoption center for a very long story. And I also cried. So I don't know where she is but I pray for her everynight. So hopefully she is an a good home. :]

They are very good pets. I think they're underrated actually, along with rabbits, because people seem to think that they have no personality. They should come and meet my piggies, they are such characters!

Guinea Pigs are better for people who are actually going to pay attention to them though. They are almost always shy when first brought home, and the more attention they get the more comfortable they will feel around humans. Also, guinea pigs are evolved in such a way that they try to "hide" weakness, so it's important you pay attention to them so that you notice a difference in behaviour if they become ill.

So there are things to look out for, but I definitely think they are great companions and so friendly when taken proper care of. :)

I got my first two guinea pigs about five days ago, both were free ranged out running wild lol. Both of them, Momichi(Momo) and Patches are completely tame now! They are such cute little piggies :) especialy when I hold Momo and he stretches out in my arm and makes little sounds when I stroke his tummy hehe. Both of them are abysinnians
