Can anyone recommend some good gothic books to me?

I love sharing any gothic culture, but reading is not my highest point.

I would recommend you The Pit and the Pendulum by Edgar Allen Poe, but people look surpass his work because its kind of hard to read old english.

There is this manga called The Laughing Vampire. Great artwork and setting. Story is decent.
Very perverse, hence the writers style of his books.
