Glee Question

When did Finn put his reputation before Rachel?

I've read such opinion several times recently & I'd like to know when & in what way in happend.

I remember once he chose football team over Glee club, but I can't see it having any connection with Rachel..

I don't want to defence Finn, but I just can't remember him doing thing like this.

When he left her alone getting her picture taken. He'd promised he'd show, then not only did he ditch her, he didn't even warn her first, so she sat there waiting for him.
I guess arguably you could also call him staying with Quinn (before knowing she was pregnant) even after kissing Rachel him choosing popularity over her, since you can't really call it loyalty to Quinn that made him make that choice, because if he were loyal he wouldn't be kissing Rachel in the first place. Even Rachel relates his rejection to him fearing for his reputation "It's kind of ironic, how you're mister popular and I'm this nobody that everybody makes fun of, but I have enough confidence to say out loud that what happened between us in the auditorium was real. You have feelings for me and you just don't have the guts to admit it."

I also think him choosing football over glee club at least in part counts. It wasn't a betrayal of just Rachel, but it was a betrayal of them all, including her, and she was one of the ones he was closer to.

I'm not sure if this counts (since this is less him putting his reputation before her, and more him just generally putting himself first and using her) but he also pretended to be interested in her to manipulate her into rejoining the glee club so he'd have a better chance at getting a musical scholarship in ep 5.

I agree with what Mermaid-Tail said of course, but my biggest problem is that Finn told Rachel off for putting her reputation ahead of her RELATIONSHIPS. Finn does this a lot even if it doesn't concern just Rachel. We could even argue that he put his popularity ahead of respecting Quinn. Perhaps he was only with her because of the rep it gave him? I mean I'm just speculating, but I think it was his comment about repuation above relationships that bugged me, not even just his treatment of Rachel. Rachel was wrong to have manipulated the boys like that, but Finn was out of line judging her I think.

Sorry to be majorly venting, but honestly neither Rachel nor Finn are high on my list of fave characters and they are my LEAST favorite couple on Glee. Mostly because of BS like this. Neither of them treat each other with enough respect honestly.

Well, when Rachel asked him to be the co-captain to do the photoshoot for the yearbook. Rachel waited for him, but he never showed up for it.
