Question about season 2 click here pleeze(:

I'm not really sure, and to be honest the writers probably aren't completely certain either.

They've already said they don't know how long a season is [if it's a full school year or not], so you could be right.

Or maybe they'll lose at Regionals and have to start all over again next season for another try at Sectionals.

I don't think we'll know until after this season is over, or the next season goes into production.

I know that Figgins said that they had to WIN Sectionals...but he said TOP THREE at Regionals, so my guess is they lose to Vocal Adrenaline but are 2nd or 3rd so they come back next year with room for improvement.
