Hi Last season of Ghost Whisperer in Australia, Jim(Sam) was just remembering things. And in the new season they now have a son who is about 5 years old, can anyone please let mme in on what we have missed. Thanks
Slowly jim starts remembering things from his "past life". Eventually Melinda tells him that she believes that he is Jim and thinks she is so upset over her husbands death that she immagined the whole thing and has planted all of these memories in his head as an attempt to have her husband back.
Mean while, Melinda has met a man who body snatched, much like jim did, and is having similar emotional comflicts. He ends up putting his own life in danger when he becomes trapped beneath ground by going through the tunnel in the basement of Melinda's antique shop. There is a break in one of the water lines. He ends up getting out but Melinda who was trying to help him is trapped. The ghost of a psychiatrist (who appears earlier in the season) tells Eli and he rushes over with equptment to get Melinda out. As he is on his way he runs into Sam.
Sam had recently been to a motorcycle dealer because he "knew" he had to be there. While there he tells the owner that he isn't sure what it is he should be picking up there. He ask if there is anything there for "Sam," but ther is nothing. Then asks if there is anything for the name "Jim Clancy". The owner tells him that jim had purchased a bike and then adds, don't tell his wife about it, it's a surprise for her. Jim then realizes that memory couldn't have been something Melinda had told him because she didn't know.
Both Eli and Jim go to save Melinda. Eli goes to jump in the water to swin to another chamber were Melinda is when Jim stops him and say he will go. As Jim is swimming to were she is (whitch is not too close) his back pack, with eqiptment to break her out, gets snagged and it take some effort to get out of it. After all that Jim passes out and float to the surface were Melinda grabs him and pulls him ontop the ledge were she has been waiting. Melinda is yelling "Sam" at him to wake him up. He looks at her and askes why she keeps calling him Sam? When she asks what should i call you? He says, Jim. It is then the water is shut off and they saftly escape.
They arrive home and Melinda brings Jim up to speed on all that has happened. He has no memories of ever being Sam (which occured over the course of 2 months)
Later, Melinda has a minor injury to her hand and is at the hospital with Jim. The nurse says she will need an x-ray and proceeds to ask if she is pregnant. He first answer is no and then after thinking a second and counting days in her head she decides it is possible. It turns out that Melinda is pregnant and has been since before Jim (the one we all know and love from seasons 1-4)died.
The season then breezes thorugh Melinda's pregnancy and has the baby. then it flash forwards 5 years--that's most of it- hope it helps
Well, Jim eventually gets his memory back. In an episode called Stage Fright, Melinda injured her hand. When she went to get it checked, the nurse asked if she was pregnant, and it turns out she was. Melinda and Jim get remarried, and in the next season, she has her son and it goes 5 years into the future.
