I've had time to think and process it. I'm actually really happy with the road each character took.
I love that GoT didnt go on with like 20 episodes a season like a lot of TV out there to exploit fans. It dipped out with less episodes and a more concise story that wasn't prolonged for the sake of profitable gain.
Do I have niggles with the last season in particular? Of course! But as a whole, absolutely nothing compares in television in terms of scale and depth so I feel so happy to have been able to experience this show in its time.
Everything made sense to me when you pick it apart. I appreciate the throwbacks and links so much.
I feel sad that it's over. But I am honestly so happy I found a show I could escape to and enjoy right ro the very end.
@zan i highly recommend watching the whole thing for yourself. Everything pans out for a valid reason if you pay attention to seasons of buildup. It is unconventional and I love that.
Anyway it was a very poor adaptation that got worse with age and I only finished it to see how the books would end. I'm glad it's finally over.
The ending was a slap in the face to all the fans of the show. Would've been pissed if this was 10 months ago, but I'm still stuck with the feeling of dissatisfaction.
