Personal clubs?

here many fanpop user are having their own personal clubs.is it valid?

cause fanpop says "Self-promotional clubs and clubs created for spam may also be removed"


and below it there it there is " Fanpop users" option in " primary channel" ??


if it is not valid what about all those personal clubs made by users?

Valid or not, to me there are pointless and fit into what I would call 'self-promote your taste', because these clubs are only based on the tastes of the users and if you see from other point of view there are extensions from the 'fanpop users club', which obviously already exist.
And what's the point of being fan of yourself in a web site if you are not known, I mean, you must be well known on this site in order to having sense making one.

On the other hand the content of these clubs is usually repeated because these are actually filled with artist content, not personal material.

But that's only my personal opinion :)
