I know that he puts an awful lot of work into those picks - scouring the site for active users across the board who have been particularly active recently and who have not been nominated previously. That's why there are gaps in between each of the FotF picks: it's actually a fair amount of labor to come up with a list of any length, especially when you try to not include the same people over and over again. Like the rest of us, I'm sure he wants to have fun on Fanpop as well as provide us the cool content that he has to slave to produce. What you might do next time is contact him and ask if he'd like any help in coming up with the list, or if you have any suggestions for new/not previously nominated users for consideration.
