Hey fanpoppers. We have several projects in the pipeline but wanted to get your feedback on what YOU the fanpoppers most want to see in the coming year on the site.

I've offered a few possible areas where we can put our efforts, though this list is by no means exhaustive! (I recently revisited the feature suggestion thread in the feature suggestions forum thread so I know there are MANY more possible items desired by the fans).

That being said, I've setup this poll so that you can add a suggestion as a pick option. Note that this poll does not guarantee that the items above are what get worked on, but it does help the team at least get the pulse of what the active fanpoppers are currently wanting to see on the site.

So feel free to add any constructive comments or pick option to the poll and let us know your thoughts on where you'd like to see us focus our energies.

i honestly pick the meebo i miss seeing my updates on the meebo and about the image and video browsing i think the current one is absolutely awesome the articles is awesome as well i dont think it needs changing in my opinion now about the profile customization i prefer the meebo but it would be cool to put a song in your profile and be able other people to hear it or something like that but i'll go with meebo i dont use a mobile in my opinion i want the meebo tbh. :D

For the love of god make a working mobile version - the current one is absolutely useless and I can't stand to use it. I spend more time on my phone than my laptop and I feel like a lot of people do, too. A working mobile Fanpop or an app would be great!!

I often find myself using my iPod to access fanpop so I think this would be the most useful. Profile customization would be my choice two. I like being able to customize things. I honestly--and this is just a personal opinion--don't care for meebo. I never really used it. Unlike mobile which I find myself using rather often. I feel like a good number of people really liked the idea of a mobile fanpop. On every poll about the question the idea seemed to receive positive feedback.

Another really simple thing that would be cool is seeing the exact year a comment was posted again as opposed to just 'over a year ago.'

Profile Customization as well. I do use Fanpop on my phone, but I like using the desktop view anyway so the mobile site isn't really something I see much.

I would love to see the site refreshed.
I think it is time to see more than just one change at once, and that means more than letting us customize our mosaics/profile pages - which I would love to.
More often than not I enter the site through my profile page - I wonder how many fanpoppers do the same thing- so I do really think it would be great if we could add a much more personal touch there. e.g. nobody is getting any caps, but the showcase is still right there on my profile page using a space that I would rather dedicate to *my favourite clubs**clubs I want to promote because I am a big fan of that show/movie despite the medal I could have there**clubs that I have created**last images I added**recently voted polls**whatever*.
I guess there are some other features that are no longer popular or useful, so why do not reconsider the amount of space Fanpop is dedicating to them?

Other thing that in my opinion should be reconsidered - why do not open links in new tabs? I mean now, when I click a link, that usually means the end of my Fanpop experience -one link leads to another and to another, and that means less time on Fanpop-

Although I want meebo type chat here again I am picking customizing profile option as I really don't think there's any old friend of mine is here whom I can chat with, but the notifications were amazing so in that sense I would love to have back chat system. As makintosh, we can remove few things from our profile like cap showcase and use that space to place our recent activities.

It would be great if I can add banner to my profile, instead of that motto. The option of improved editors in article is good one too as it would be easier if we don't have to add keywords to bold our letters in the article again and again. I am really glad that you guys are looking up to improve the website. Hope you'll succeed in it. Thanks for the poll though.

Yeah, I almost always use my phone for Fanpop, but I usually use the desktop version, and I like it that way.

A new system for online chatting would be great. But I would also like the option to hide or make the chat less visible. In the older meebo the green tab was taking up a lot of space for my liking. Customization for our profile would be nice, but what else could we add? If I could add GIFs or videos on my articles, would be so much more convenient. Fonts look nice in an article as well. Also, if you could add several articles at a time, or several videos at a time like you could with pictures, would be extremely convenient.

I'd like to know how many years it's been since X happened, when User Y was last active, and when people started contributing to the Z spot. The year was useful for communicating with other users (why bother if they've been gone for 5 years?), telling the difference between original and duplicate spots/content, tracking contributions, and nostalgic purposes.

It's very, very annoying.
Also the profile customization and changing "over a year ago" would be very nice. I don't particularly care about the vhats but I do think it will bring more activity to the site.

I would like to get Chat System/Meebo back! Because It was really a thing which made people to be active on the site!When meebo was there,people used to come on Fanpop like everyday! & many people stop coming on Fanpop because they dont find this site intresting without meebo ,and also many deleted their account and started being active on Facebook & Twitter other than Fanpop. I know Fanpop isnt all abt chating,but when chat was there people use to come and chat ,but they contributed side by side as well!

Now,if two friends find each other online on Fanpop,they say like "Come online on Facebook/twitter/google+,we will chat there only" and after that they leave this site alone. If Fanpop will have Meebo/chat system,People will stop going on other sites and they will be active here only like it was before. They will also not stop contributing because if many fans are active on a club,they have kind of compitition like "who contributes more here?" & after that people contribute like hell!,so another problem is solved too.
and my other reason for this option is same as what Vagos has commented.

If i get a chance to select another option from the poll,then it would be 'Better mobile experience'. I will choose this because We can enjoy Fanpop in better way,when our computer /internet will be out of order!

twilightlover37, do you have some more details about medals being annoying to you?

Are you thinking you are due some medals, that other people are getting them unfairly, or some other issue?

I was gonna say profile customizing would be cool if we could add backgrounds and have animated icons and such but, I am also really annoyed with the medal system. I will explain why I am annoyed. I am annoyed because when I contribute a lot to a spot on almost on a weekly basis for months and I don't get a medal but, when I barely contribute to a spot I get a medal for only adding like 20 images. I feel it isn't very fair and it would be better to not have it be random since it isn't right for people who are a real fan of something and they have worked hard and contributed to a spot and they are not being awarded but, when people who barely do anything in a spot get to have a medal. The fanpop 4 should be paying more attention to this!

please fix the mobile version because in the way that it is now (february 2015) is very difficult to navigate

The mobile version is awful. Before I could use fan pop on my phone just like on the normal site.

I am so happy (though this was done a while back) that my opinion was heard and we have exact years back.

This is the reason a lot of people I knew quit fanpop, because meebo had went away.

There is so much I would like to do when on my Kindle Fire, but I can't. The forums feature doesn't allow any replys at all when I'm on my Kindle, the quizzes feature jumps around so I'm constantly hitting the wrong answers at the wrong time, and polls take forever to load. I think Kindle's and other tablets are in that awkward place between a larger device and a phone.

Another side note, I would like the 'Sign Out' button at the top to actually work for signing out on ANY device. It doesn't matter what device I or any of my friends are on, the sign out button never works. We have to close out of the browser entirely if I want to leave Fanpop and one of my friends wants to sign in on my computer.

PLEEEAASE bring back the chat system, I miss talking to my friends. It's like I wouldn't even know if they had died or not, I've been in Fanpop for 5 years now, and I don't like ANY of these updates the site has gone through. I miss the chat room...

The most important for me would be the medal system,the online chat, the profile customization.

I would like this feature to be fixed the most. I have created several clubs and I had been checking on them once in a while to see who has joined and who has contributed something to my clubs. Some of the people who had contributed were being listed in the contributors list, but most of them, including myself were not.

Something else I would like to see is the update list - I would like to select which clubs I would like to know when they are being updated. Some of the bigger clubs such as Random are being updated so often that I do not notice if my smaller clubs that I am trying to monitor are being updated.

The rules seem inconsistent. I don't have medals for spots that I have posted quite a bit for, but do have medals for spots that I've barely added to.

Well Many of us want to upload our own videos so there should be an option of uploading creative videos..

Since the 'over a year ago' thing is gone (thank you, guys!), how about the missing icon/banner and link thing?
