Because music is the only untarnished gift from God that we humans have left.
Or at least it was until Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, and Rihanna came along.

so if a cds scratched he can click his fingers and it wont be scratched

He goes there to work over-time.. even Jesus needs a purpose as little as that :p
