Elfen Lied Question

Personally, what would you rate elfen lied. (as in age rated.)

You see i really want to watch elfen lied but unfortunately it is 18+. when i watched death note (without knowing it was 18+)i thought it was over rated. personally i'd put it 13+/14+ but i'm guessing since their was no such thing as 14+ they put it in the 18+ section. so i'm wondering what section would you personally put it in.

well i watched elfen lied and death note at age 14. elfen lied was 1st anime i ever watched. i fell in love with animes since i watched it

To be honest i don't see anything wrong with youger people watching this. My two year old has watched Elfen Lied with me and he had no problem with it.
My youger brothers (aged 11, 13, 15,) both watched this after my parents said it would be okay.
Whenever i'm lending DVD's to underage persons i always ask their parents permission first and explain a bit about what they may find difficult about it.
For example, when my younger brothers wished to watch Elfen Lied, i told my parents there was nudity and a lot of blood and gore, with actual pictures of people being dismembered with 'invisible' hands.

I'd personally rate Elfen Lied 16+ I guess. But I can kinda understand why they rated it 18+ :P

I don't think it's that bad, there is worse out there it just contains animated violence it's not to Graphic, maybe for a 5 year old but with the type of video games that kids are playing now...it's hardly anything.

I watched it when I was 12 years old. For most 12 year olds it would be scary but not for me, but it does contain nudity and murdering and swears, so I would say you should be about 14 or 15 just to be safe
