It would be so romantic. Envy knows Ed should be his enemy, but he can't help love him. That's why he hurts Ed, he doesn't know what to say or do, so he takes his angier out on the one he loves. He knows the other Humonculi will be mad if he goes with him and he's afriad Ed doesn't feel the same. His angier keeps building over the fact that he doesn't know what to do and his jealousy over Ed's friends grows.
