Edward's a douch no matter what, so even though Jake does act like a bit of a jerk in this book and even goes all "Pedo-wolf" in BD, he's still better then Edward. A door mat *coughs Bella* is better then Edward.

I feel the way Bella does about the whole thing. Edward can be a jerk, but he would never hurt Bella, or force her to do anything that she didn't want to, unless it was life-threatening. All he tries to do is protect her. I love "Bella's Jacob" but not "Sam's Jacob" as she puts it. That's why she kissed him back in Eclipse. Because the other time he tried, and up until that point, he had had the "mask" on. And when he let down his guard, and became "her Jacob" she realized. But really, he's a completely inconsiderate jerk for 70% of the book.

Although I'm a huge Taylor/Jacob fan, I chose Edward for this question. 1. I already liked Jacob x the previous two movies, I totally get the besotted love for a best friend/unrequited love thing. And you've gotta love a guy who never gives up, even though it seems pretty hopeless.

BUT 2. Edward shows a warmer side in the movie, a more "human" side if you will. He loves Bella deeply & sincerely, will do anything to protect her. And yet, he's besieged with jealousy! And, he's prepared to give her up to Jacob, if that makes her happy (read the book!). You've got to adore a guy who goes to such great lengths to prove his love. I still prefer Jacob over Edward, but in the Eclipse book & movie, I warmed to Edward. Plus I totally enjoyed the fight scene between Edward & Victoria. A fitting end to baddie Vamp!
