I can't believe that John Waters' wanted Mink Stole to set her hair on fire for Pink Flamingos. He was going to have her use a lot of hairpsra.. He thought with her hair such a bright red it bursting into fire would make a nice image. Yes it would, but not at risk of an actresses life. Fire works fast & even with someone standing there with a bucket of water I think it could have scarred poor Mink for life. Remember what happened to Michael Jackson for that pepsi commercial.
