Part 5:
A couple hours later in the library...
"Malfoy?" Hermione asked.
"What Granger?" Draco spat. His face was illuminated by the soft light in the library, as he was dusting off statues.
"I know you're a little lying ferret, but answer me this: Did you enjoy the kiss?" She said, pausing from the book she was dusting. Looking at him with her big, brown eyes.
"Why do you ask?" Draco wondered.
"Just answer my question!"
"Not until you answer mine." He walked away from the statue, and over to Hermione, bending over until they were face to face.
"Fine, you were frenching me Malfoy. Frenching. No one does that unless they are really in love. And you moaned. I was surprised. So did you enjoy this kiss?"
Draco straightened up, spine cracking as he stretched. Sitting on the floor, he patted the ground next to him and told her to sit down. Hermione hesitated, but eventually sat.
"Like I said in the Forest, I like seeing you in discomfort. I was frenching you because Pansy is never passionate." He paused, his hard facial features softening. "Passionate about anything. I believe the only reason why she loves me so much, is because of my sorry excuse for a father. And how her parents will approve if we get married. Which will never happen by the way. You're so stubborn, level-headed, and-"
Hermione held her hand out. "Stop Draco. Now. You're making it sound like you love me."
"You called me Draco." He gasped.
"Yes, and?" Hermione sighed. "I've called you by your name before."
Draco's expression turned to confusion. "Really?"
"Yes. Malfoy, do you- er - fancy me?"
His throat suddenly became dry. "Um. Ahem, excuse me a moment."
'Perfect.' Hermione thought. The water bottles she had brought were on the table. One had Veritaserum, and it was the one Draco had picked. He had taken three large swigs of it, and it was to kick in soon.
"Well, what I think is that-" He had paused. 'YES!' Hermione thought victoriously. "You have beautiful eyes. You're very smart. I want you, you're so stubborn too. But I need you Hermione. Also, you're amazingly gorgeous!"
Draco grabbed Hermione by the shoulders, and brought her to himself. He kissed her with desperation, like this was the last kiss he would ever had. Hermione was fighting him again, but he had pushed her to the ground and left light, feathery kisses up and down her neck. "I need you." Draco gasped.
Suddenly, he came back. Realizing all the things he had said. 'Merlin! Did I really just say those horrid words? Well, I thought it. Do I love her? Well- NO! She slipped me Veritaserum! That little bitch.'
Angrily, Draco grabbed Hermione by the throat and led her to a bookshelf. Books were falling left and right, dropping to the ground around them.
"You stupid mudblood! How dare you slip me Veritaserum! I am going to wring your little neck!" He growled. As his nails dug into her neck, Draco saw blood trickle down her throat.
"Draco, please. I'm so sorry. Draco," She gasped for air. "I can't breathe."
"No! I cant believe you, Granger!" He scowled. "Veritaserum! Professor Snape will find out about this."
He drug her to the table where the Veritaserum-ed water stood. Shoving her in a chair, Draco forced the water into Hermione's mouth.
"What do you think of me, mudblood? ANSWER!"
"I- I think your-" The duo of Draco put his hands around her neck once more, and choking on the water was horrid. Hermione spat out blood, water, and saliva on Draco.
"Disgusting! Spitting on me, nasty. I don't want mudblood on my flawless skin. You will pay." Draco sneered.
His nails dug deeper and deeper until Hermione could feel them inside her throat, his cold fingers also getting tighter around her. The combination of the lack of air, and loss of blood was unbearable.
She looked at Draco with pain, her eyes glazing over. He could tell she was losing consciousness. But at the moment, he didn't care.
"Plea-" And with that she fell to the ground, never finishing her word.
30 minutes later...
"Hermione! Wake up! I'm so sorry! Please." Draco pleaded.
Hermione had woken up, but kept her eyes closed so she could let him apologize a little more.
"I'm going to be in so much trouble! Oh please wake up!" Draco begged. He silently kissed her cheek, hoping to wake her up, it did work.
"What happened?" Hermione said faintly.
"YOU'VE WOKEN UP! OH MERLIN. Thank you." Draco yelled.
She smacked her lips together. "Why do I taste blood? Why are your fingernails red? I feel horrible."
"No matter, drink this." He gave her the Veritaserum-less water.
"What happened?" She felt a twinge of pain on her neck, bringing her fingers up to it. When she withdrew, she saw:
"BLOOD! Draco. What did you do to me?" Hermione snarled. "Fix it now."
Draco casted a non-verbal spell at her neck, with a face sick with worry.
"I'm sorry Granger. Anger came over me, and I just lost control." He kissed her neck where the blood used to run. Hermione moaned softly.
"You like that mudblood? I'll bet you do."
"No, stop."Draco did again.
Hermione put her hand up to block him.
"Oh, Draco stop. This isn't right."
"You want me to kiss you, don't you?"
He whispered.
"No don't.."
"Wait, what?" he asked confused.
"I said no."
She checked her watch, 3:00. Hermione stood up and patted her skirt and hair down. "it's three o'clock. I must be leaving. Goodnight Malfoy." and she walked right out of the door.
"Night, 'Mione." He said silently.
