Doctor Who Question

Has the series ever skipped 200 years of the doctors timeline before?

I've heard that the next episode is going to be set 200 years down the doctors timeline. Does anyone ever remember that happening before?

I don't know, but how could he know to lie? No one told him what had happened exactly that day.
As for the 200 years skipped... he's going to Lake Silencio when he leaves Craig's house. He already has the hat and that is right after leaving Amy and Rory. He even mets them in the mall. No skipping anything there.
Also Amy and Rory will never see him making a fool of himself with "Stanlio and Ollio" (are those two called that way in english? who knows) or in history books; and River will never have her diary full of memories if those 200 years don't pass (they met just an handful of times up till now)... so I think that his sacrifice (in a moment when he's suffering because he had to destroy Amy's trust in him to save her, and then 'abandoned' her) is what they'll use to save the Doctor.
More practically, we saw him die in the first episode of series 6, and probably in the next one (or the following) he will go to Lake Silencio, where he should die, but Matt Smith signed on for series 7 already, so the doctor HAS to find a way to survive... I hope. Otherwise I'll go kill Moffat for it and you're welcome to join me and hold him still while I do the punching! xD
