Merida was originally to be voiced by Reese Witherspoon, but due to scheduling conflicts she was replaced by Scottish actress Kelly Macdonald.

I was really excited to hear Reese Witherspoon voice acting for Merida. Oh well I guess Kelly Macdonald will do.

^Yeah, I was too. :/I've never heard of Kelly Macdonald, but I guess it's better to stray off the popular celebrity voices and look for different actresses,
