I haven't written anything in a while, so I thought I'd whip out this list I wrote some weeks ago and unleash my opinions out to the wild.
13. Cinderella
Ah, I have never liked Cinderella's hair. Even when I was five. It's bland, it's boring, I can't tell if it's wavy or poofy or what, and the color reminds me of mustard (which I quite strongly dislike.) Even in an updo, it looks like a butt.
12. Tiana
Her hair seemed like it would have been really curly and pretty. . . had she let it down. Before I chopped all my hair off in a whirlwind rage, I could relate to wanting to keep my pain in the a** hair up all the time. But still. Once in a while never hurt anyone.
11. Snow White
Ah yes, the expected finally happens. I love short hair on women (hopefully because I'm a shortie myself), but Snow White's is pretty bland and formless. I agree with some people when they say it looks like a wig.
10. Belle
Aww, the only brunette. Belle's hair is very pretty, and, unlike some of the others, it's not OTT. It just couldn't fight it's way past the others. Nice hairline, BTW. Her face is a complete heart!
9. Anna
Eh. I really like the color, which is why it got past Belle. Other than that, the white stripe clashes with the red and she keeps it in the dorky braids the whole time (although her updo is quite lovely).
8. Mulan
What I wouldn't give to have Mulan's hair, straight, shiny, and raven wing black. Ah. Perfection. I like her hair when she cuts it off, but it's doesn't have the je ne sais quoi to make it past 8.
7. Pocahontas
There was a time when Pocahontas' hair made me drool. Now that I watch the movie again, I drool slightly less. It's long, it flows in the wind like some sort of satiny ribbon, it has style, but, it's flat. In some screen shots it looks like she's balding, for goodness sake. Unacceptable!
6. Ariel
The first redhead. Her bangs annoy me severely when I gaze at them for an hour, but when I look at her hair as a whole, they're a-okay. I love her in- your-face color, and I admire the length and thickness of her hair.
5. Jasmine
Top five, here at last! Jasmine's hair is like Pocahontas, except it's not flat! Hooray for volumne! It also doesn't flow in the wind, but then again, you'd probably need a jet to pick Jasmine's hair off the ground. I've always wondered how she keeps her head up AND stay sane from her ridiculously thick/ long hair in sweltering Agrabah. Her hair is pretty cartoony, but hey, she's a cartoon, so I'll let it slide.
4. Rapunzel
This is pretty much short and long hair. She can pull of being a long blonde and a short brunette, so props to Rapunzel. Her short hair sort of irks me in that I can't tell if it's supposed to be a bob or a pixie cut. Either way though, short hair in the DPs!
3. Elsa
Platinum blonde, thick, makes a gorgeous messy braid, check check check! Plus, Rapunzel's hair consisted of only 27,000 superlong strands, whereas Elsa had over 400,000 CGI strands. Fun fact.
2. Aurora
Where else could she be other than the top two! Her hair is a supermodel's dream! The color perfectly offsets her everything, and the soft curls contrast the angles and sharpness of her features. Her bangs are adorable too!
1. Merida
I mentioned in my first article that I believe Merida's hair should get a fan club. I still believe this firmly. I mean, look at it! All those shades of red and curls and overall wildness, ah! I love it!
