Um, my personal favorites are Mulan, because she is the most mature psychologically, and is brave enough to join the army in her father's place. I love the fact that she is "trying" to find her own "self-worth" because that is where I am always. I also love Ariel, because no matter how hard King Triton belittles her viewpoint, she has indomitable spirit-- like "the little red engine," she keeps on going, "trying to learn and to grow and to explore new things." I champion Ariel for at least remaining true to her own self-identity even when her father was " not above forcing" her to become someone else just to please him.
My least favorites:
Tiana, because she is rude and excessively picky. Tiana is a know-it-all ( and worse than Belle) in constantly finding fault in other people! Tiana just can't seem to keep a level tongue in her head. She just has to keep issuing quips at every single little thing that displeases her. She takes up all the oxygen in the movie, and I really dislike her for being so "controlling."
Also, Elsa...because, despite what her massive fandom might say...she is more cowardly than any other female I have ever seen in a Disney movie-- bar none. Also, I don't like her, for her "You can't marry a man you just met" statement. Coming out of Elsa's mouth this is "a slander" to all the female characters who preceded her--and it is a not-so-subtle "diss" to anyone seeking romantic love in their lives. I don't need to be called "a loser" because I like romance. No, thank you. No Elsa.
