Disney Princess
answer this question
Disney Princess Question
Does it seem a little convenient to you that the most popular princesses are always high on Relatable lists, while the least populars are always low on them?
I mean, Belle, Rapunzel, and Mulan are ALWAYS high on people's Most Relatable list as well as almost always they favorite lists. Less popular girls like Merida, Snow, Aurora and usually Tiana (because she's generally liked and respected but not adored) are rarely high on Relatable OR Favorite lists, though Aurora has been rising a little.
It just seems like people are doing a kind of humble-bragging where they go "I relate to ______ the most, we're JUST alike! I can't relate to those other princesses, they bore me and don't do anything cool" or whatever, then they'll go "omg _____ is my favorite! She's so brave, strong, independent, sassy, funny, pretty, tough, bad@ss, and she doesn't need a man!".
it sounds like people are just picking their favorites instead of being honest about who they actually have things in common with (or at least, they're very selective about it, which I think most of us probably are to a degree). or else, they're just projecting and wish they were brave and kick-butt like their favorite but won't admit they're projecting.
Like, when Belle was my least favorite I couldn't relate to her at all, but now that I'm more objective about the princesses, I see we have a lot in common. When Snow was my favorite in high school I related to her but while I still love her, I don't think we're actually quite as alike as I thought.
