Disney Princess Question

Time Magazine quotes so called feminist " Peggy Orenstein"- the biggest BITCH to write a book or call herself a feminist.

She blames all girls, teen girl problems, young adult girl problems, even believes that All Disney Princesses are evil wimpy Damsels who only are after men and marriage, and to look sexy. She also hates with a passion, and think girls should not wear sparkles, the color pink, play with barbies, American Girl dolls. She hates the idea of being with a man, yet she is married herself and has a daughter. She complains about Disney Princesses stuff having a toy outlet for everything, yet boys have the same thing when it comes to superhero stuff - SO WHY DO DISNEY PRINCESSES GET PICKED ON BY THE MEDIA? She also claims all girls will get eating disorders or body problems from Disney princesses and her so called " hit book" that made her " a great author is called "-probably by the dumbass people who gave her awards for it- "Cinderella ate my Daughter". This woman has problems. Feminism is about equality not dissing/ making men out to be evil. And there are billions of girls/women who grew up with all the things she hates and are fine-maybe even still like this stuff and are fine, in fact I have yet to hear a problem relating to any of the things she hates.
She only sees FROZEN as a small step forward and hates Elsa's "model" look.-according to an article I read in my TIME magazine.

Oh, dear... I have read one chapter of this book and I didn't really like it. She called Cinderella (did she really have to put my favorite princess' name in the title?) the symbol of female impowerement, or something like that.

I wonder if most feminists who bash the princess culture have watched their movies? I don't like the princess culture either, but I like the movies, the music, the magic, the characters, etc.

I think Disney is far from being the most sexist media nowadays: admittedly, they have their problems (i. e. Aladdin's lack of more female characters, the jokes with the female bodie in Brave, etc), but they're not sexist movies.

I think the main reason for having Cinderella eat her daughter instead of another princess is that Cinderella basically represents the DP Franchise, so by saying Cinderella ate her daughter she's basically saying that the DP Franchise ate her daughter. But I don't know, I haven't actually read the book or anything.

^Yeah, I know that. But it seems a bit unfair to me. I'm biased of course, because I'm a Cindy fan.

Why do girls stuff get singled out when there is just as much boy junk, also I was asking for peoples thoughts and or comments like Silverrose did.

She is such a hypocrite. She is a feminist yet she contradicts herself big time. All those things she said about what girls should not do is very contradicting to the idea of feminism. Technically, by her saying all that stuff about what girls should not do she is saying that girls should not act feminine and that you should be like boys which contradicts the whole feminist idea of equal rights when it comes to gender.
