Disney Princess Question

why do people say aurora is naive/gullible?

i am really confused, the few times people admit she has a personality all they say is she is naive or gullible it seems.

i dont get how. i wached that movie recently and I didnt see her act like that at all. she never once thinks her dream actually happened lol.

i dont think maybe people know what naive means...

I agree, Snow White is quite gullible in my opinion, but Aurora?

When Snow White met a total stranger she asked questions later and bit apples first, even when the dwarves told her not to.

When Aurora met a total stranger, she tried to get away from him, but after a few minutes of chatting realized he was the man of her dreams.

I think Aurora as a character has many problems, but naivety? Hardly.

I know, right?
I can't understand why people jump to this conclusion. Aurora was never naive or gullible. She tried to avoid Philip but then she fell for him because he was charming, handsome and romantic! That's not naivety, it's falling in love and after all Philip proved he deserved her affection! As for the fact that she pricked her finger, I hope people don't count this as naivety, because it's obvious that she was hypnotized by an extremely powerful evil fairy! Yet she had the mental strength to hesitate for a moment!
So...when was she gullible???

Yeah, I actually think she's the least gullible of the original DPs.

No she at first doubted it she could have been engaged to a prince. She didn't believe she could ever be engaged to a prince and plus wasn't she a princess all along?? The fairies told her the truth
