Do some fanbases ruin your view of the princess/heroine they're a fan of?

oh, YES!! i used to love belle and ariel in my childhood, now they just annoy the heck out of me, thanks to fans XD they are the most overrated girls for me and that for stupid reasons as well...xx
ariel is a mermaid! she is so different, because she has RED!! hair!! belles dress is just soooo wonderful, that i love her! belle can READ! (really.. sometimes i think, many just like her because she can hold a book in her hands, crazy fans >>)belle is the most beautiful - LOOK.AT.HER.NAME! prove enough, isnt it!! XDD
i lol about those reasons so often XDD

but besides that, i have to say that the fanbase/s also changed my view on some girls to the better! i never liked aurora and snow white as a kid, now i do!

i guess it just sometimes happens, when you like a character, join a fanbase and see far to many things about her/him/it or read to much about the same, it gets boring, then stupid and in the end it starts to annoy you. you start to not be able anymore to enjoy the character for what she/he/it meant to you, because you are just overflown with so many things...

then there are fans, who are far to much obsessed with a chara and feel the need to praise them everywhere someone says something against them... etc etc etc...

its a thing, which cant be helped if you get into fandoms. i discovered that it can help to search for small communities, forums etc for the subject you like and enjoy it there. if i wouldnt have those, i wont be able to come here so often XDD sometimes i just want to throw a brick at my monitor for some things i read XD
its also useful to avoid articles, picks, etc, which have the words , favorite, least, beautiful, etc in it.. it will save you sooo much trouble XD

No one really ruins my view of who I like or don't like. I can always disagree with what someone says but I like the fact that my opinion might be different then everyone else. There is no right or wrong when it comes to giving you opinion on something. People may not like the fact that I don't consider Mulan or Pocahontas a "real" princess or the fact that I feel like Disney made some pretty weak (in comparison) princess in the last few years after Mulan.

Tye only thing that might bother me is when you ask someone a question and they give you one word answers and they don't in detail of their opinion when asked
So in summary I welcome all fan bases that don't agree with me. Speak your words with honestly but don't be surprised when my word may not be as parallel. My favorite will always be Ariel.

Well in the past I did really like Ariel Belle.They were my favorite princesses in the past right before the movies after them came out then I liked the others better over them but I still liked Belle and Ariel.But now after visiting many websites and of course joining here the fans kind ruined my liking of Belle and Ariel! I still like them but just not like I used to in past.I practically get anyoed espically on this club about Belle and Ariel this or that and drives me crazy! They are way overrated,and for what reasons?! Because Ariel mermaid and because Belle is beautiful? There's more to them just looks! I think that's main reason people like them is because looks! I'm sorry but that's what I think and feel.

well,this club kinda does ruin it because,mulan and pocahontas are not princesses
1:they have to be princesses by birth
2:they have to be married by a PRINCE not any ordinary person
mulan didnt marry a prince,neither did pocahontas,if you really dont get what im saying,check for further info on other sites and stuff,there are only seven disney princesses

5:ariel
6:belle
but im not sure if jasmine is a princess,shes not really included in most disney princess deal,if she is a princess,then she'll be no 7

Kind of, when I was little I used to love Ariel, but now I'm not a huge fan of her (she is 6th on my list) mostly because many people love her. Though this club made me love Aurora (never really liked her when I was little) and Cinderella more (I loved her when I was little). It also made me love Tiana and Rapunzel (never liked them when they first came out).

Belle used to be my favorite until I came to IMBD and some Disney forums (except this one). Most of her fans praised her sooooo much to that they bashed other princesses especially Ariel and Snow White. They did to the point where it made me want me to run away from them. It made like Belle less. I still like Belle but her fanbase ruined my view of her.
She's not perfect she has flaws too!
1. She visited the West Wing, despite the Beast forbidding her to do so.
2. She revealed the Beast's existence to her town. While it saved her father from going to an aslylum, it caused Gaston to form an angry mob and attack Beast's castle. I'm surprised that Cogsworth, Lumiere, and Mrs. Potts didn't falsely accuse her for betraying them.
3. She did not know how to tell Gaston that she's not interested in him without being mean.

I still like Belle but I wish her fans would acknowledge that she has problems just like the other girls do.
