Who is Pocahontas' prince?

Well as for the offical merchandising of the Disney Princess and such,Smith will always be known as Pocahontas prince.If Rolfe was in the orginal movie and not sequel he would be known as the offical prince but he not.Disney never will claim the sequels as they do the originals as the originals is an offical Disney film not sequel.Well that goes for the animaited features at least.If the animaited sequels was offical realeased like the originals in theaters and officiated as an actual film realease,then they be considered a offical Disney film.But since they are not the sequels will never be considered offical which means Rolfe will never be an offical prince like Smith forever will be.Pixar realeases thier sequels to orginal films in theaters and it's consdeted a offical film instead of like a cartoon or spinoff to the orginal movie which means there will be franchise of it just like the orginal movie.Disney don't seem to do that seemed to do that with thier animaited films.The only one they did that with was The Rescusers but that's the only one,the other sequels was never offical realeased in theaters as they were straight to video thing instead of officiated as an offical realease film.It's kind of confuseing I know but that's what I think at least and it's been that way so far.So we will never see merchandising of the sequels like we always will of the originals.You will ways find John Smith dolls in Disney Stores and maybe at the parks and events but never John Rolfe because he not considered a offical prince.

the real pocahontas (legendary person) never loved a john smith (she was 13 when they met and he only wrote about her in his journals when he visited her village) so i guess john rolfe. also she changed her name to rebecca rolfe after marrying him and converted to his religion so i guess she loved him more.

but i do have to say i like john smith more.

Mmm... This is an hard question! We think of her, imagining her true love as John Smith... But in the sequel we see her falling in love with Rolfe.

Disney seems to almost ignore the sequel. Her official love is Smith, he is the one they use in doll sets and stuff...

Well, I only consider movies that were part of the Disney's animated features canon official, those that were released in theaters. And the sequel isn't part of it. Oh, and I agree about the merchandise. Guess it's John Smith after all.

I agree with Pocahontas1fan. Pocahontas chose John Rolfe in the sequel but on merchandise, they always draw her with John Smith as the official couple.

Definitely John Smith, the sequel tends to alienate its fans with Rolfe in the picture!

I think John Smith is the "official" Disney Prince, since he was her love interest in the first movie. Also, he's always been the most popular of the two with fans. And if you go onto the Disney Store web site and look at the Disney Prince and Princess dolls, you'll see that they have dolls of Smith and not
of Rolfe.
