Disney Princess Question

Settings for Sleeping Beauty

I heard that it's mostly set in Southern Europe, but I have always wonder whether it's set during the Holy Roman Empire. Which part of the empire is it anyway?

I believe that, like Snow White, Sleeping Beauty was set in Germany. But I don't think that it was part of the Holy Roman Empire or anything. If it was, there would've been more references to religion (ex: a cross in the main hall, a priest at baby Aurora's party, ect.) since back then it didn't really cause much of a stir if there were religious undertones or anything in children's movies.

Really? Why would you think that (this is a serious question- is there actually any proof indicating they're from those places?).

I’d say France with a lot of evidence.

Me too, but Disney must be wrong about their own stuff again. I read that the royal crests indicate that the movie is indeed set in Germany.
