I think it would be tempting, but in the end he loves Jasmine more than anything. Plus he and Jasmine weren't even officially together during that part. He just had a major crush on her. If you watch the episode "Elemental My Dear Jasmine" from the series, you'll see that even a beautiful mermaid can't change Aladdin's love for Jasmine. It's very sweet actually.
