Lilith was the first demon, so I guess she's more powerful than the rest of her kin, including Azazel.

Jadis-the-White picked Lilith:
Lilith in Sumerian legend was a Goddess and in Hebrew legend she was Adams first wife. She was the first woman to rebell in Eden and became Samael's (satan) wife and had many demon children to him. Lilith was so rebellious and lusted for power that even Samael could not handle her and bannished her to the desert by the Red Sea, God nor Samael (satan) could not destroy her as she is immortal like them as she escaped before the "fall" of man. Other legends say Lilith was Gods wife and he took the rib from her to make Eve and Lilith was so angry at this she left and took up with the Archangle Samael this is supposed to have started the war in heaven.Lilith is also supposed to be the one who tempted Eve to eat the apple to get back at God And Adam, she also took her revenge out on Eves desendtants (mankind). Lilith is one of the few who are untouchable in the ranks of Heaven or Hell as she was in both and God nor Satan could kill her so Sam would not stand a chance against her. Even to this day middle eastern cultures still make amulets to keep Lilith away from new born babies. In George MacDonald's book Lilith he writes what Adam tells Mr Vane,
"When God created me [Adam]...Not out of nothing as say the unwise, but out of his own endless glory....He brought me an Angelic splendour to be my wife: There she [Lilith] lies: for her first thought was power.....[she] had so ensnared the heart of the Great Shadow [Satan], that he became her slave, wrought her will and made her Queen of Hell....Vilest of God's creatures, she lives by the Blood and Lives and Souls of men."
MacDonald used the Lilith myth and made it a romantic novel and in his book Lilith was saved and returned to her former self, C.S.Lewis also mentioned Lilith in his book LWW and Jadis is desended from her. Lilith is also mentioned in the bible but not by name on two occasions, the wise King Solomon even suspected the Queen of Sheba as being Lilith when she payed him a visit and it is amazing the weight in gold she gave to him yearly was 666 talents. :)

I strongly got the impression that she outranked Azazel, which would mean she'd be stronger than him
