I'll always be on L's side, but would it really be such a bad thing if Light HAD succeded? I think it would have been okay if he didn't just start killing anyone who opposed him and just kept killing off all the criminals. I'd support Kira if it wasn't Light.

Forever Light!!! He has his goal very clear and properly set. He did much more for the World's sake than what the police or L did together. He's different and dare to do things that no one would've done. He's so smart, clever and brilliant.

And sorry but L isn't "save the world" or 'justice'. At the beginning, I liked L, but that was before I realized how selfish he was. That was dissapointing. He didn't mind going over other people just to achieve his goals. He didn't have compassion of Misa or even Light's dad when he captured them for 50 days. And he didn't mind if Light or Misa were the real Kira when he sent Mr. Yagami in the same car as them just to prove if they were or not the real and second Kira. What if Mr. Yagami would have died? Who bring him back to life? Why didn't L expose himself instead?

Regardless of who was my favorite character, I found the whole conflict too interesting to simply pick a side. It was an extreme debate on what "justice" truly was, and you can see reasoning on both sides- as well as what most consider "crossing the line."

I was mostly just observing, not routing.

While watching the anime I was never really on anyone's 'side' per se.
I was just sort of . . . . . . . Observing. I mean, they're fictional characters. As long as the anime as a whole was still a well-done and enjoyable one than it shouldn't have mattered in the end. I'm not the kind of person who's affected personally by those things.

i think there are problems with both the sides really Light's methods were wrong while L's method would have brought no change and doesn't seem to different from killing criminals anyway after all isn't he fine with the death penalty? L is just a keeper of the law rather than anything
