Like one of the writer said, they keep it open to see where the characters take them, to make it more realistic that maybe they will end in unexpected roads. 	amshafe picked Yes! Of couse! They meant to be together!: I know what the writers say about keeping their options open but I don't buy it. Most likely they will go with the couples in the end that the writing have supported and that have development, not random pairings at the last minute. And I feel Serenate has virtually no chance since Serena kissed Dan in Season 3 and chose him over Nate in Season 4, and then in this season called him the love of her life and is still in love with him. So it would be very hard to buy Serena falling for Nate at this point. I highly doubt they'll go there again. Plus, they hinted at Nate/Ivy earlier this season and the actress that plays Ivy is a regular, so I have to think they'll get together at some point. I'm not 100% sure of course, you can't be, but that's what I really believe will happen. posted over a year ago. last edited over a year ago
